Hello Sam,
How are you getting on? Arguing with parents can be tough, hope you’ll cope with all the misunderstanding as soon as possible.
To be honest, I can’t really say that I’ve got such a problem with my parents, as, for example, my dad buys clothes at the same shops as I do. As for my mom, we do have kind of different styles and though she doesn’t always understand mine, she is willing to accept it.
My everyday style is quite simple, you may call it casual. As most of the world population right now I prefer sneakers, jeans, T-shirts with hoodies and loose dresses, in other words, something comfy. Of course, when I go out or on some occasions, I prefer to dress up a little bit, it could be a gorgeous tight-fitting dress with high heels or a smart suit with loafers.
To sum it up, I’m pretty sure you can reach a compromise with your parents. To my mind, that’s the best way to deal with any problem. For example, go on Pinterest and create a ton of different looks in the style that you like, show all that to your parents, let each other express your opinions and exchange suggestions. In such a way you will be able to find common ground.
Well, that’s all I can think of right now. If this doesn’t help, I believe we will find some other solution.
