Hi Kate,
Thanks for your letter. It was interesting to read about your family and your weekends. As for me, I have an important piece of news, which will drive you crazy. My family and I, of course, have moved into a new house. And I want to share my impressions of our new house.
To tell you the truth, I didn’t want to leave my flat at first and my parents’ decision to move the house shocked me. But when we came to our new house I understood that it was a house of my dreams. It is a two-storeyed house with big windows and, what is very important, it’s situated not far from the city. There is a beautiful garden behind our house where you can see a summerhouse and a small artificial lake with ornamental fish. On the ground floor of the house there is a spacious modern kitchen, a bathroom and a comfortable living-room with a big TV. My room, my brother’s room and my parents’ bedroom are on the first floor. My room is big, light and cosy with two large windows. I like it very much.
What is more, next Sunday we’ll organize a house-warming party and I want to invite you to this party. My cousins Ann and Tom, our classmates John and Peter will come too. I hope you’ll be able to join us! There will be many things to do. We can play badminton or table tennis in the garden, watch films or play computer games and, of course, taste some barbecue which my father will prepare. I’m sure we’ll have so much fun!
I think that is really easy to get to my new house. You can take a taxi or a number 5 bus which stops next to your house and goes to the village of Green. Our house is located at 8, Flower Street. I’m sure you won’t get lost.
